Spencer is a post-baccalaureate lab and research associate for the Mack/Walker and Schuur labs. He primarily processes plants (Arizona) and soils (Alaska and Canada) for radiocarbon and CN content to help research on ecosystem ecology, wildfires, and climate change. He also aids the Mack/Walker lab with Bonanza Creek LTER forest inventory data analysis and research, focusing on data organization, visualization, and analysis. Spencer received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Sustainability from Principia College and is looking toward graduate school in the future.
